Nika has also had many hung juries which resulted in substantially reduced charges. Nika has also obtained dismissals of felony charges at preliminary hearing and prior to trial, as well as obtaining misdemeanor charges from serious felony charges. Nika has been married to her law partner, Bill Cummings, for twenty years. They have four children. They are members of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
